March. Can you believe it’s freaking March?
I know these are the cries of an old woman. Next I’ll start making claims that it’s nearly Christmas. (Seriously peeps, get your list for Santa ready.)
March has been a fabulous month and here is a list of my Miss Sweet Loves – my favourite things that I just had to share with you.
1. Mr Sticky’s birthday!
It’s been a month-long celebration of Mr Sticky with lots of cake, presents and laughter. We were away on Mr Sticky’s actual birthday, so Mama Sweet made Snickers Brownies as his “cake” we could share on our road trip. She even packed a candle and matches! Definitely a recipe to share on the blog soon.
2. Celebrating love.
We celebrated the wedding of two lovely people who married in a beautiful ceremony overlooking the beach. It was such a joyous day! The couple really put a lot of handmade touches into their reception and ceremony. The bride sewed part of her dress, the groomsmen strung up all the fairy lights, the bridesmaids helped arrange all the decorations, friends sung songs, wrote poems and the groom’s 80+ Grandma performed a magic show to the X-Files theme song!
My favourite touch was their dessert table with lots of vegan treats. The cake was made by a local baker Daisy’s Cakes. The top layer was a gluten-free dairy-free coconut with vanilla bean filling, the middle a white chocolate mud with vanilla bean and white chocolate ganache and the bottom a moist coconut and sour cream cake with vanilla bean and white chocolate ganache. Hands down the best tasting wedding cake I’ve ever had.
3. Are you hangry?
Mr Sticky knows I have to be fed and watered regular or I will become a Hangry Beast.
The latest addition to our little home is this hilarious wall-hanging by My Bearded Piegon. We’ve appropriately hung this in our kitchen to remind Mr Sticky not to let me go hungry.
You can purchase your own for $32. You’re supporting an Aussie business and get to enjoy the LOLZ – it’s win-win!

4. Pablo the Pug
Meet a pooch that will give Matt Preston a run for his money - or bacon – Pugs don’t really have a lot of use for dollars.
According to his human servant, “Pablo the Pug is a professional food critic who travels the world testing his sensitive palate at the most prestigious restaurants across the globe”. He’s adorable and has excellent taste.

5. I like big books and I cannot lie.
At the ‘Day Job’ we have a reading club and it’s become apparent that I haven’t read any books of any substance. Apparently Twilight doesn’t count.
I came across the Rory Gilmore Reading Challenge and think it’s a great place to start my education. If it’s good enough for Lorelai’s daughter, it’s good enough for me.
Do you have any book suggestions for me? Trash welcomed.
